Mr Lok Choon Hong has been invited to be a moderator for Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN) summit 2016. For those who are unfamiliar, MBAN is the official trade association and governing body, targeting at existing and potential angel investors, general investing community and entrepreneurs. It serves as the platform to become the “official voice” of the Malaysian angel investor community as well as a platform for the angel investors to engage and exchange knowledge among the domestic and international angel investors. The summit was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, on 31 October to 1st November.
In this summit, Mr Lok Choon Hong moderated for session 2 titled “Asian Cross Border Investment-Opportunities & Challenges”. The session 2 was held on the 1st November 2016, in Room/Hall BRONX V & VI at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. In this session, the panel had an hour discussion with four representatives from angel groups across the ASEAN region, providing an insight into opportunities for cross border investments that exist in their markets and the challenges in executing such deals. The four representatives are Nicole Paterno, Founder/CEO of 100 angels from The Philippines, Csaba Bundik, partner of HATCH Ventures from Vietnam, Mark Wolf, Co-founder of Bangkok Venture Club from Thailand and Lem Chansamrach MD, from Cambodian Investors Corporation from Cambodia. These four representatives are members of AIPO Angels Club.
