Lok Choon Hong
Mr Lok Choon Hong is a qualified lawyer (non-practising) for Malaysia and Singapore and a registered patent, trademark and industrial design agents for Malaysia. He has been actively involved in the intellectual property (IP) field for the past twenty (20) years. He was awarded the world’s top 1000 patent practitioners by IAM magazine from year 2013 to 2020 and an awardee of IPSTARs award by Managing IP Magazine in 2019 & 2020 for Patent Prosecution works.
Mr Lok holds a Master of Laws Degree from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, an executive MBA degrees from INSEAD, France/Singapore and E-MBA from Tsinghua University, China.
Apart from IP agency and consultancy works, Mr Lok is also actively involved in angel capital investment in IP based companies in Malaysia, Singapore and China. Currently, Mr Lok is the Chair of AIPO Business Angels Club and a partner of AIPO Deep Tech Venture Capital Fund.

Mr Patrick Chow graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1980. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1981, qualifying as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
Mr Patrick Chow is a senior legal practitioner of 33 years standing having been in active practice since 1985 when he set up his boutique legal practice dealing in both civil and criminal work. The main areas of his practice include Property Law, Intellectual Property Dispute, Corporate Law, Domestic and Civil Litigation.
He has for many years been a part time lecturer in Company Law and Commercial Law for examinees sitting for their ACCA qualifications. He was also a course instructor in Company Law courses organized by the Extramural Department of the National University of Singapore in the early years of his practice.
He holds directorship in PINTAS Pte Ltd, a boutique firm providing intellectual property service in the registration of patents, copyright, trademarks and industrial design. He actively promotes awareness of intellectual property by delivering many talks in Chinese and English to a great number of small and medium enterprises in various organizations including the Chinese Chambers of Commerce.
In the course of his practice, numerous cases of his were reported in the Chinese newspapers and the Straits Times. There was a write up featuring Mr Patrick Chow on his talk on the enhancement of business value by the use of intellectual property in the Lian He ZaoBo (6 July 2006).

Tay Yeo King
Since year 2000, Tay YK has been assisting inventors prepare patent specifications, prosecuting and obtaining patents and design registrations in Singapore, Malaysia, US, Europe, amongst others, and also before WIPO. His areas in patents cover mechanical, materials, electrical and electronic engineering, internet-of-things, software processes, process methods, business methods, and other inter-disciplines. Prior to joining the intellectual property industry, Tay YK spent his initial career in engineering design and disk substrate development.
Lok Lee Yin
Ms. Lok has been a US Patent Agent since 2007 and helped to establish the Pintas US office in 2008. She received her B.S in Applied Science from University of Science of Malaysia in 2000 with a major in Analytical Chemistry and minor in Management. She started her career as a Quality Officer at Plexus in 2001 before joining Pintas IP Group as a patent engineer in 2004.
Ms. Lok has many years of experience in the preparation, prosecution and e-filing of U.S. patent, trademark applications
and general patent counseling. She also has vast experience in handling US patent and design applications into Malaysia.
DO Thi My Lien
The representative partner of Pintas Indochina, Mrs. Lien holds a BA in English language from Hanoi National University; a Bachelor of Law Degree from Hanoi Open University; a MBA in Economics from Vietnam National University. In addition, Mrs. Lien has attended many IP courses, such as Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Intellectual Property Course (2004); WIPO, General Course on Intellectual Property (2006); WIPO, the Advanced course on Copyright and Related rights (2007); JAPAN, Training course for Advanced IP Practitioners (2007); EPO, Training course on Patent Drafting Techniques (2008); JAPAN, Training course for patent experts (2014). Mrs. Lien has more than 17 years of experience in all aspects of IP in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar.
Ms. Santy Allim has more than 15 years of extensive experience in corporate administrative and secretarial work in the Aviation industry. Prior to her role as the Director of Administration & HR, she was working as a Corporate Secretary with Ernst & Young – establishing new businesses, specialising in providing insightful assistance for her clients to setting up companies in Brunei Darussalam.
Being an Entrepreneur herself, Ms Santy has established two companies in Brunei providing two different services of which she is very well adversed in the importance of patents & licensing. She will be able to assist in working with PINTAS headquarters in preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications.

Minn Tayzar Nyunt Tin
Mr. John Hepworth is a qualified UK and European patent attorney for over thirty five years. He is the founding partner of Hepworth Lawrence Bryer and Bizley and now “of counsel” to Hepworth Browne. Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Litigation Committee and the European Patent Institute. He also acted as instructing attorney for numerous litigated intellectual property cases.

Pung Tzzy Shan
Ms. Pung Tzyy Shan graduated from the University of Sains Malaysia with a Master of Chemical Instrumentation and a Bachelor’s Degree of Applied Science (Industrial Chemistry). As a patent engineer with strong chemistry background, she is
specialized in conducting prior art searches and specification drafting related to chemical composition, chemical instruments and manufacturing processes. Apart from responding to office actions and providing consultancy to clients on IP issues, she is also involved in handling infringement matters through Freedom-to-Operate analysis.
Ms Charmaine Ow graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology. As a patent engineer, she focuses on conducting prior art searches and specification drafting in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry. In addition to that, she also has extensive experience in drafting patent specifications related to the field of manufacturing or fabrication processes.

Loo How Jie (Eddy)
Mr. Loo How Jie holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science (Hons) Actuarial Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and another Bachelor Degree of Science (Physics) from University of Newcastle. He is experienced in conducting patent searches, drafting specification, prosecution of local and foreign patent applications, and providing consultations and advisory on various patent matters. Lee Jia Ee
Ms. Lee Jia Ee is a registered Patent, Trademark and Industrial Design Agent in Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Hons) degree with a major in Biomechanics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Her expertise lies in the areas of mechanical engineering, information technology, biomedical engineering etc. She is experienced in handling IP portfolios for MNCs and SMEs. Her professional activities involve all aspects of patent prosecution, including drafting patents, conducting prior art searches, performing freedom to operate analysis, responding to office actions, managing local and foreign patent applications and providing strategies and advice on IP related matters.
He has been directly involved and a contributing member in complex company restructuring & arrangement schemes and regulatory compliance issues coupled with fund raising and placements in the capital markets.

Mr. John Gan is a Canadian and has over 35 years of international hands-on experience working in the Financial Services industry. He has held senior leadership positions across multiple sectors including investment banking, money markets, foreign exchange, insurance and capital markets. He was a corporate executive and senior officer for several multinational companies, including as Asia’s Head of Agency Development for global insurer Allianz, where he was responsible for eight countries and 50,000 sales agents.
John founded and led 360 Blockchain Inc., a Canadian publicly listed company; and 360 Securities Ltd., a registered exempt market securities dealer. He is also currently a Special Advisor to the Canadian Securities Exchange.
Throughout his career, he has acquired a wealth of experience and expertise while achieving milestones and success for his companies. With his rich international management and leadership skills and global perspective on money, finance and investment, John is currently seeking great business opportunities in the growing economies in the Asia Pacific region.
Tai Zhi Sam
Mr. Tai Zhi Sam holds a Master of Science in Analytical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from International Medical University and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
While completing his Master’s degree, he was sub-contracted in 2016 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry of Malaysia and International Medical University in a joint research project as a Preclinical Trial Research Associate under the National Key Economic Areas Research Grant Scheme. Following completion of the project, he underwent a 6-months veterinary medical laboratory technologist training program in 2018 before joining the Patent Department at PINTAS as a patent engineer in the following year.
Presently, he handles patent work including novelty searches, specification drafting related to chemistry and biotechnology besides responding to Office Actions. At the same time, he is undergoing in-house training to prepare and sit for the Malaysian Patent Agent Examination.
Mr. Alistair Yeo graduated with a Master of Science in Advanced Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelors of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
As a patent engineer, his responsibilities include conducting prior art searches, drafting patent specifications and responding to office actions.
Yong Bo Yee
Ms. Yong Bo Yee holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Liverpool, U.K. Upon obtaining her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2017 in one attempt, she commenced her pupillage in 2018 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 28th February 2019. Ms Yong has extensive experience in the area of intellectual property law, which spans from copyright, trademark and patent infringement disputes, local and foreign registrations of intellectual property, and advisory work. In addition to intellectual property law, she has amassed considerable experience in other practice areas such as commercial law, probate and estate laws and property law.
Ms. Yong has been involved in the preparing, drafting and vetting of a substantial range of legal documents, among which are business contracts and corporate and commercial agreements. These include share sale agreements, subscription agreements, shareholder agreements, non-disclosure agreements, joint-venture agreements, terms and conditions, privacy policies, assignment agreements, licensing agreements, tenancy agreements, wills, and sale and purchase agreements.

Terrence Leow Zhi Quan
As the Partner of LCW LAW ASSOCIATES, Mr. Leow is responsible for handling cases with domestic and foreign clients on a daily basis. In addition, he has rich daily practical experience in the field of intellectual property rights. Mr. Leow is the legal counsel for many listed companies, foreign trade companies, and technology groups at home and abroad. Mr. Leow successfully represented many internationally renowned brand intellectual property disputes, including international intellectual property disputes. Currently, Mr. Leow serves as an arbitrator for the Arbitration Tribunal of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission of China, the International Arbitration Court of the Zhuhai Arbitration Commission. Mr Cao has 15 years of experience as an attorney. He currently serves as the legal counsel of many chambers of commerce, enterprises and industry branches such as the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and has been responsible for management and legal risk prevention in many large and medium-sized enterprises. Committed to providing enterprises with intellectual property protection plans and overall development strategic planning, through the layout and sorting of intellectual property rights, to escort enterprises in the market competition. He has successively provided financial and comprehensive intellectual property legal services for international companies, high-tech companies, and many well-known domestic companies including the world’s top 500 companies. Since working in the industry, he has undertaken a series of major litigation cases, especially in the fields of finance, intellectual property, and anti-unfair competition.
Mr Wu has 4 years working at Computer Network Information Center Chinese Academy of Sciences in Guangzhou, responsible for research on Internet of Things related technologies, prototype system research, application for scientific and technological projects, implementation of scientific and technological projects, familiar with the procedures of standard project establishment, writing, and approval; good at refining standard language, strong writing ability; participated in the research work of national ministries, localities and other related standards.
Ms. Teh Zul-Ling holds a Bachelor of Law, LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Oxford Brookes, United Kingdom. She has experience in conveyancing which includes matters such as transfer of property, sale and purchase agreements, perfection of transfer and charge, discharge of charge, deed or receipt and reassignment. She also has experience in drafting submissions to overcome the refusal of trademark application when office action is required.
She is responsible for international marketing and liaison with foreign partners. She is also in charge of handling government grant applications on behalf of clients. At the same time, she is undertaking RISM Property Surveying Graduate Entry Examination to obtain Professional Diploma in Valuation which is awarded by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).

Ong Yue Seong
Mr. Ong Yue Seong holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from SEGi University. During his studies, he actively involved in various research fields, including membrane technology and computational fluid dynamics for microchannel heat sinks, nanofluids, and microfluidic two-phase flow separation. During his Master’s study, he successfully published four journal articles in ISI and SCOPUS indexed journals.
As a patent engineer, his responsibilities include novelty searches, drafting patent specifications, and responding to office actions. Presently, he mainly deals with chemical, biochemical, and biotechnology cases.
Kooi Eng Teik
Mr Kooi is graduate from the University of Nottingham (Malaysia Campus) with an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Presently, he is a Patent Engineer and does work relating to patent drafting, conduction novelty searches, and responding to office actions.
Celine Chia Chin Yin
Ms. Chia holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Liverpool, UK. She has attained Certificate of Legal Practice and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2020. Ms Chia began her legal practice on the area of conveyancing, commercial law and consumer banking and real estate transactions of which including the purchase, sale, leasing and financing of properties. In addition, Ms Chia also has experienced in advising client on matter concerning administration of estate and wills.
Ms Chia later found interest in Intellectual Property law and has since then been practicing in the area of Intellectual Property and also corporate and commercial law. Ms Chia’s presently focusing her practice on IP-related matters and her professional responsibilities encompass providing clients with pre-litigation advisory work on trade mark, copyright and patent infringement, passing off issues and corporate IP due diligence as well as drafting submissions in response to objections raised by the Malaysian Intellectual Property Office (MYIPO). Her knowledge and skills further extend to enforcement work, consultancy work on business contracts and corporate and commercial agreements. These include share sale agreements, shareholder agreements, non-disclosure agreements, joint-venture agreements, assignment agreements, licensing agreements and a diverse range of IP-related matters.

Mr Lu holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from University Teknologi PETRONAS and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from SEGi University. During his studies, he actively involved in the research field of microfluidic, including experimental and computational fluid dynamics analysis for droplet formation and liquid-liquid two-phase flow separation.
