Mr Lok Choon Hong of PINTAS IP Group attended the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) event in Washington, D.C., from 29 to 30 October 2026.
During the event, Mr. Lok held a series of meaningful meetings with foreign IP associates and international practitioners, focusing on strengthening cross-border IP cooperation, patent prosecution and enforcement strategies, and opportunities to accelerate patent protection through the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) and ASEAN Patent Examination Co-operation Plus (ASPEC+).
The discussions also highlighted Singapore’s strategic role as a regional IP hub and the potential for leveraging PPH and ASPEC+ mechanisms to facilitate faster, more cost-effective patent protection across Southeast Asia and other international markets.
