Southeast Asia Expansion: Singapore IP Hub as a New Growth Engine

On 21 August 2026, PINTAS participated in a thematic exchange session held at the Tianjin Intellectual Property Trading Center, bringing together entrepreneurs, professionals and partners to explore opportunities and strategic approaches for Chinese companies expanding into Southeast Asia.

The session focused on the key advantages of the Singapore IP Hub, with in depth discussions covering intellectual property protection,
commercialisation and profit allocation. Participants explored how a well structured IP strategy can support international expansion while helping businesses build a more resilient and competitive global business presence.

During the session, Mr Lok Choon Hong, Director of PINTAS IP Group, Mr Simon Soh, Director of Unity Assurance PAC, and Mr Zhang Jing Dong （张静东）, General Manager and Co-founder of Tianjin Zhanyu Patent Agency Co., Ltd, shared insights from their respective areas of expertise and practical experience. Their discussions covered key considerations for businesses going overseas, including IP management, legal compliance, tax planning and value creation, providing practical perspectives for participating enterprises.
